Premiere Screening: Unheard

Get an inside glimpse of life through the lens of a mother with mental illness...

Eight women employ their cameras to share their stories and
experiences with postpartum mood disorders. Stigma silences
many women from sharing their true thoughts and experiences
as they struggle with postpartum depression and anxiety.
Their silence prevents families, health practitioners and the
community from understanding and supporting them.
This multimedia production draws us into the authentic lived
experience of 8 women from the Tri-Community, with a
frankness rarely heard from women with postpartum mood
disorders. It reveals the darkness, the fear, the strength and the
hope of the journey through illness to recovery.
