Dr. Gina Wong is a Registered Psychologist and for over 8 years has specialized in couselling women with postpartum depression/anxiety and maternal mental health issues. Additionally, she works with body image, disordered eating, couples, sexual and intimacy issues, cross-cultural issues, fertility, sexual abuse, grief and bereavement. Dr. Wong publishes and presents nationally and internationally on maternal mental health and wellness and she is an Alberta Co-Coordinator with Postpartum Support International ( Most recently, Dr. Wong has four entries in the Encyclopedia of Motherhood (2010, Sage Press).

Dr. Tamara Hanoski is a registered psychologist (and mother of two young children) who has been in the counselling field for over 13 years. She provides counselling to individuals, couples, and families, as well as play therapy for children. As a Mother herself Dr. Hanoski has a special interest in Postpartum Adjustment. She also treats depression, anxiety, self-esteem, past abuse, grief, anger, parenting, relationship issues, and other personal concerns.

The Education Clinic at the U of A offers counselling services for the general public at an extremely affordable rate of only $50/year. They do not have anyone who specializes in PPD however this is a good resource for anyone who really needs counselling but cannot afford it!
